I offer Pregnancy, Post-natal and many other forms of Yoga for all levels of experience and tailored to your individual needs.

Pregnancy yoga is offered as either one to one or group sessions, I will take you through all trimesters in a safe, effective series of classes designed to prepare your body, mind and breath for birth and beyond.

Post-natal yoga is ideally done in a group setting -helping you to find a community of support. The classes will enable you to build strength and fitness safely while also giving you time to find ease and relaxation in a safe, supportive nurturing space.

I also teach Power vinyasa, Hatha yoga, fit/flow (yoga and HIIT combo), Yin, Meditation and Breathing practices.

PREGNANCY YOGA

Prenatal yoga has so many benefits for you and also your baby. It can help you build a deep connection with your baby, learning how to tap into the calming hormones which are passed to the baby when you produce them.

The yoga movements are safe and specifically aimed at preparing your body physically for a strong pregnancy and labour and a quicker recovery afterwards.

As an experienced yoga instructor and personal trainer and a qualified Midwife and Doula, you are in very safe hands!

My yoga classes are for all levels and abilities and all stages of pregnancy.

I have designed a program of classes to focus on the following:

  • Understanding your changing body and how to move and breathe in a positive and safe way through these changes.
  • Building strength and resilience for a healthy pregnancy and an empowered birth
  • Breath and affirmation focus
  • Hypnobirthing relaxations and learning to slow down
  • Exploring Positions for birthing
  • Breathing techniques for labour
  • Connecting to your baby, developing calm bonds-calm mama= calm baby
  • Learning how to help your baby get into an optimal position for birth
  • Feel connected, prepared and ready to meet your baby

 

POST-NATAL YOGA

Helping you to get back to fitness and health after birth within a safe and structured environment and taking into account your individual needs.

May include the following:

  • Finding time and energy in your day for self care
  • Understanding the way your body recovers after having a baby
  • Building strength -upper body and shoulders
  • Building strength -hips and lower body
  • Building strength-core and spine
  • Finding ease and taking a slower pace-breath and mind relaxations
  • Post instrumental births recovery
  • Post cesarean section recovery
  • Resilience to cope with sleep changes
